Recover sensor data

Step 1. Connect the BDS via WIFI

  • Place the magnetic ring on the transparent side of the housing by pressing it until it snaps into place. Make sure the magnet of the ring is positioned directly over the red magnetic sensor. The LEDs located on the same side as the batteries will begin to blink Red-Green-Blue.
  • Open the WIFI settings on your computer / tablet / smart phone, and select the network with the same name as the BDS.

Step 2. Access SD card

  • Type the fixed IP address into a web browser: 192.168.43.1 The HTML page of the BDS sensor will open automatically.

Step 3. Select the file for recovery

Every sensor has a small website saved onto the BDS microSD card as simple HTML file. When the HTML opens in the browser.

  • Select and download the raw data files, which have the .txt file extension.

Example raw BDS data file: C010706133321.txt

  • Each time the sensor is started, a new file is created.
  • "C01" is the sensor name.
  • "0706" is the month and day, July 6th.
  • "133321" indicates that the sensor was turned on at 13:33:21 where 13 is the hour, 33 is the minute and 21 are the seconds.
  • The real-time clock keeps the date and time accurate to 10 seconds / week.
